Type C Blade

Short Lamella Tip

This is a variation of the Type-A doctor blade. The width of the lamella has been reduced to add extra stiffness to the blade. This makes the blade more effective in applications where the blade is shearing ink from the roll and can help control chatter. The same chemical reduction process is used to ensure the material’s properties have not been altered. The width of the lamella is typically .067" (1.7mm). Tip thickness is custom engineered to your application.
Advantages:

A decrease in the size of the chemically reduced lamella (.067") results in a stiffer wipe.
Tip wipes immediately and changes very little during the life of the blade
Slightly tapered design adds strength to the blade
All purpose Lamella blade works well in both Flexographic and Gravure applications
